About
Welcome everyone! If you’ve found this blog you are likely a Mom yourself. Being a Mom is simultaneously rewarding, frustrating, challenging, and the greatest thing you will ever do in your life. It’s no wonder we all take it so seriously!
I know when I read a blog and plan on going back more than once I like to know a little bit about the person that is writing the blog. Why are they writing it? What is their background? Do they actually have a clue about what they are talking about? So, without further ado, here are a few things about me:
- I’m 39 years old and married.
- My daughter is 14 and a real rebel child. She’s be loads of trouble - skipping curfew, drinking, smoking, pot - just a few of the challenges I face! So, yes, you’ll find a fair amount of content on here about teens and the trouble they like to find.
- My son is 11 and sensitive and funny as hell. He’s interested in blogging himself so you might see him on here as a guest poster!
- I work part time as an instructor at a business college. I teach adults to become Administrative Professionals/Bookkeepers. For the most part, I really enjoy my day job.
- I am also a freelance writer. I write on a variety of topics and you can read my writing blog, A Freelance Life, if you’re interested in making money online through blogging and writing.
- We live in a city but my goal is to either retire by water (a cottage by a lake or something like that) or buy an RV and travel across the US and Canada
- I went to University when I was 29 and came just short of getting my degree in Human Ecology with a Family Studies major. I had to stop going because my relationship with my kids father ended and I couldn’t support myself and the kids and go to school at the same time.
- I got married a couple of years ago to a great man. He’s kind and smart and funny. He suffers from anxiety/panic disorder.
- I’m creative and entrepreneurial. My goal over the next 5 years or so is to be able to live from the money I make online.
You’ll find out lots more about me by reading the blog but if you have questions leave a comment and I will add to this section as I answer them.
